    What exactly does your scanner do to my site, and can I refuse?

    It sends at most eight ordinary requests to pages your server already serves publicly: the home page, robots.txt, sitemap, llms.txt, a missing-page probe and up to two inner pages. No login, nothing hidden, nothing stored from your content beyond the technical findings. It identifies itself as SiteCheck/1.0 with a link back to this page. If you would rather it stayed away, add a Disallow for SiteCheck in your robots.txt and it will read robots.txt only and crawl nothing further, or write to me and I will block your domain.

    The rules apply to my one-person business too?

    Yes. Art. 50 transparency duties have no small-business exemption and no transition period: they are in force since 02.08.2026 for anyone deploying AI systems facing EU users.

    My chatbot is a third-party service. Still my duty?

    Yes. The deployer facing the user is responsible for disclosure on their own site, regardless of who built the bot.

    What if the check found nothing but I do use AI?

    The scan reads public signals only. Internal AI use, email agents or AI phone lines are invisible to it; the four questions exist exactly for that, and the paid audit reviews the real systems.
